Hiroshi completed his education at Kumamoto University Junior High School, Kumamoto Prefectural Sasebo High School, and the Department of Resource Engineering at Kyushu University.
After graduating in 1984, he moved to Tokyo and joined Tokusatsu Kenkyujo. He began his career as an art staff member on "Chou Denji Bioman," where he was mentored by Osawa Tetsuzo and later by Yajima Nobuo. He worked on the special effects segments of various Toei Tokusatsu television shows before making his debut as a special effects director with "Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman" in 1990. He made his directorial debut with "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger."
