After taking up the cello at fifteen while attending Sarasas Witaed Bangbon School, she went on to join the Thailand Youth Orchestra at seventeen. At eighteen, she earned a full scholarship under the name of Princess Galayani at the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University. In 2012, Nena joined the Russia-ASEAN Symphony Orchestra in Bali, Indonesia. She attented Summa Cum Laude International music festival in Vienna and won first place. After graduating from the conservatory with a Bachelor of Music, she opted to continue her studies in the Master of Music Performance and Pedagogy Programme.
