Kano Tenmei is a Japanese photographer from Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, affiliated with Ishii Corporation. In addition to his photography career, he works as a talent, actor, and commentator.

He has been married twice and has four children. From his first marriage, he has a daughter and twin sons. His second marriage produced one son. His eldest son, Kano Shunichi, is a film director, and his second son, Kano Noriyasu, is also a photographer.

Kano Tenmei graduated from the Printing Department of Nagoya City Technical High School and studied under photographer Ogawa Toichi in Nagoya. In 1962, he moved to Tokyo to apprentice under Kinishima Takashi and later became a freelance photographer, specializing in the advertising industry.

His father is Kano Toyoaki, a designer.
