Hananomoto Kotobuki I, born Kato Ryuichiro (加藤龍一郎), was a Japanese actor and traditional dancer, serving as the 15th generation head of the Hananomoto school. He was born in Mizi, Hiroshima, Japan. His father, Hananomoto Aoi, was the 14th generation head of the school. His wife, Hananomoto Ichiko, was the first generation head of the school, and their eldest son, Hananomoto Kotobuki II, succeeded him as the 16th generation head.

Hananomoto Kotobuki I made his acting debut in the film "Shichinin Wakashu Tanjo" (1958) after being invited by Shochiku's president, Otani Takejiro. He retired from acting after his role in "Mujo" in 1970 to concentrate on his dance career.

He passed away from hemorrhagic shock on November 4, 2023, at the age of 84, at a hospital in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
