He won two gold medals in the individual and team events at the 2019 Bangkok U-23 Asian Championships. He was selected as a national team member after advancing to the semifinals alongside 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalists at the 2021 President's Cup National Men's and Women's Fencing Championships.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on April 17, 2023 and had an early discharge so he could make his Olympic debut in Paris 2024. He competed in the men's team sabre event and won the gold medal for which he was officially discharged on August 14, 2024.
