He made his debut in September 2012 (using the stage name Teo) as the band's pianist/keyboardist and vocalist with their first single, "How Nice Would It Be". Their debut was only digital as their agency, Nega Network (내가네트워크), invested over 150 million KRW (~US$135,000) on their outfits, accessories, hair and makeup styling for the music video, which was considered a lot for a rookie group. The response was positive so they released a few more singles in English on iTunes so international fans could get familiar with their music.
Between 2013 and 2015, the band went on to perform in over 30 countries with a strong fanbase both domestically and internationally. However, in mid-2015, he decided to leave the band and began his career as an actor. He legally changed his name to Shin Je Min.
