He was part of the pre-debut group since 2022 (under the stage name Seungyeon). However, he left the group in early 2023 for undisclosed reasons before they debuted.
The group debuted in May 2023 but, a few weeks later, several members decided to leave the group. The agency, WEUS Entertainment (위어스엔터테인먼트) began conversations to bring him back to the lineup. He was added in June 2023 (now using the sage name Seochan) as the new rapper, main dancer and maknae with their second single album, "Starry Night".
