He made his debut in Japan in October 2013 as the band's lead guitarist and vocalist with their first digital single, "Basket". The band was scheduled to debut in South Korea soon thereafter, but an injury to leader Lee Seung Hyub forced FNC Entertainment (FNC엔터테인먼트) to delay their South Korean debut for over a year. The band finally debuted in South Korea in May 2015 with their first EP, "Awesome".
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on March 20, 2023, and was discharged on September 19, 2024.
