Kato Yoichi is a Japanese screenwriter from Suginami, Tokyo. He serves as the president of Plus One Co., Ltd. (株式会社プラスワン) and is a part-time director at Arch Co., Ltd. (アーチ株式会社). Kato is a member of the Japan Writers Guild (日本脚本家連盟) and is a dropout of Rikkyo University (立教大学). He began his career as a broadcasting writer while in university. Kato is married to lyricist and singer-songwriter Kodama Saori (こだまさおり).
