The first South Korean to study abroad at the Marangoni Fashion Institute in Milan in 1978. She worked as a fashion buyer at a famous department store, a stage costume designer, and a professor, and also helped establish Italian luxury brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo in South Korea.
She launched her YouTube channel, Milanonna, a combination of the words Milan (where she studied) and nonna (grandmother in Italian). The channel documents her daily life and also her reviews of several fashion trends and products from different well-known stores.
