She served in the Republic of Korea Army from March 21, 2011, to November 30, 2018, as a Special Forces NCO in the 193rd class, and was discharged as a Sergeant. Initially aspiring to become a bodyguard, she shifted her focus to the Special Forces after not achieving that goal.

Kang had to leave the military due to an injury sustained during high-altitude jump training, despite her desire to continue serving. Afterward, she operated a dog grooming business, which was affected by the pandemic, prompting her to start a YouTube channel.
