Şinasi Alpago is a Turkish-born, South Korean journalist, writer and presenter. He graduated from Yamanlar Science High School in Izmir, Türkiye, and while a student at Istanbul Technical University, he opted to go to South Korea to continue his education. He graduated from Chungnam National University with a double bachelor's degree in Political Sciences/Diplomacy and Chinese Language and Literature. He later obtained a master's degree in Diplomacy from Seoul National University.

He worked as a translator since 2010 and later became a correspondent for Cihan Haber Ajansi, a private news company in Turkey before it was dissolved by the Erdogan regime. In 2018, he began his naturalization process after several members of the news agency were arrested in Turkey. Out of fear of being incarcerated or worse, he chose to become a South Korean citizen but retains his Turkish citizenship as well.

He is currently working as a stand-up comedian in addition to his main job as a journalist.
