Jo Jeong Hyeon is a South Korean singer. He graduated from Gyeongseong High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Hanyang University. He is the younger brother of actor Jo Su Hyun (known professionally as Shin Il Ryong).

Before debuting as a singer, he spent his high school years playing ice hockey but decided to become a singer when he was in his last year of school.

He made his singing debut in 1989 with the single "I Loved Even That Pain" and gained great popularity by winning first place on several music programs.

He made his acting debut in 1993 with a minor role in the KBS2 drama "Youth Theater".
