Zhang Kai, born in Kaifeng, is a Chinese actor and the 34th generation disciple of the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan. He worshipped his teacher, the great monk Shi Yongxin of the Shaolin Temple. Zhang has studied martial arts in the Shaolin Temple for more than ten years. In 2007, for the first time in 300 years of Shaolin Temple, he opened an altar of precepts and became a monk, and was given the Dharma name Shi Yanneng.

In 2010, he wrote, directed and acted in the short drama ":Jing Wu Feng Yun". In 2014, he was selected by director Xu Xue Wen to participate in the gangster movie "Trivisa". Edit Biography
