He made his debut in 2005 after being selected by the LG Twins in the second round of the 2005 KBO Draft. He spent 10 seasons with the team with the exception of the period between December 22, 2008 and October 30, 2010 as he played in the Sangmu baseball team during his mandatory military service.
In 2015, he was traded to the SK Wyverns and enjoyed several productive seasons, reaching for over .300 in batting average and double-digit home runs in 2015, and playing in 144 games (the most of his career) during the 2016 season. the team later rebranded as the SSG Landers and he continued playing until his contract ended in 2021 and he retired.
He opened his YouTube channel in December 2022 and occasionally appears as commentator during KBO games.
