Lee Min Woo, also known professionally as M, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, and member of SHINHWA (신화). He graduated from Jeonju Arts High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Applied Music from Woosong Information College, a bachelor's degree in Performance and Video Studies from Paichai University, and a master's degree from Kookmin University.

He was scouted by SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) when he was a dancer in a high school group Dicky Ducky.
He made his debut in March 1998 as the group's lead vocalist and main dancer with their first album, "Resolver". However, the album was not well received by the music critics, and the public and SM began thinking about disbanding or restructuring the group.

While the group was switching agencies, he made his debut as a solo artist in November 2003 with the single album "Un-Touch-Able". He went on to release two more solo albums with mixed reactions from the critics and the public. He founded his own label, M Rising Entertainment (엠라이징엔터테인먼트), in 2007 to manage all his individual activities.

In 2008, SHINHWA went on hiatus as members began enlisting. He started his mandatory service on February 25, 2010, and was discharged on March 2, 2012.

The group officially made a comeback after a 4-year break. They reunite to release new material every now and then. Group activities are managed by Shinhwa Company (신화컴퍼니), established by Eric Mun. He has acted as the co-CEO since 2011, and the rest of the members serve as shareholders.

In December 2022, he joined Jun Jin and Kim Dong Wan and formed the group's first sub-unit, SHINHWA WDJ (신화 WDJ), debuting with the mini-album "Come To Life".

In 2025, he registered his marriage with Lee Ami, a third-generation Zainichi Korean and a single mother raising a six-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. He adopted his stepdaughter as his own and gave her the new name “Lee Ri A”. His wife gave birth to a baby girl on December 8, 2025.
