Costas Mandylor is an Australian actor born in Melbourne, Australia, to Greek immigrants Louise and Yannis Theodosopoulos, a taxi driver. He is the brother of actor Louis Mandylor. Raised in St Kilda and South Melbourne, he moved to the United States in 1987, where he began studying acting while supporting himself with various jobs due to limited opportunities early on.

He made his film debut with a supporting role in Triumph of the Spirit (1989), followed by a lead role as Frank Costello in the 1991 drama Mobsters.
