Mikaela Hoover is of Iranian, Italian, and Spanish descent, and was born and raised in Colbert, Washington. She began dancing at age two and appeared in school plays and local commercials. She later earned a bachelor's degree in theatre from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
