Before debuting, he attended Flat9 Dance Vocal Academy and spent time as a trainee at BPM Entertainment. He first appeared on TV as a contestant in the survival show "Boys II Planet", where he was eliminated in the 10th episode.
After the show, he joined IST Entertainment (IST엔터테인먼트) as a trainee, becoming part of the official lineup of the agency's new group. In January 2026, they released the OST “One Last Chance” for the drama "No Tail To Tell" as their first pre-debut single. He made his debut in March of that year as part of the group with their first mini-album, "Set By Us Only".
