Kim Jong Won, known professionally as Bae Il Ho, is a South Korean singer. He graduated from Nonsan High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Entertainment Music Management from Kyungbuk Science University.

He was part of an amateur rock band in 1975 and performed in small venues around the country. He then entered a singing competition organized by Seohae Broadcasting Company (SBC), a regional private network in Jeolla-do, and won 1st place. He made his official debut in 1980 with the single, "Look, Look, Look". However, despite being an active singer, he worked for several years as a clerk at KBS, often running errands and performing menial tasks for several productions.

He gained massive popularity when he released the single "Your Hometown's Food Is The Healthiest" in 1993 and "99.9" the following year. Both were praised for their lyrics, where he promoted domestic products and criticized materialism. Since then, he has enjoyed a successful career.
