Kim Jae Won is a South Korean retired announcer and book author. He graduated from Soongsil University with bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting. He later obtained a second bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature from Korea University and two Ph.D.'s, one in Business Administration from Chung-Ang University and another in Eastern Studies from the University of British Columbia.

He made his debut in 1995 as part of the 21st open recruitment for announcers at KBS and spent all of his illustrious 30-year career at the network. He hosted a variety of morning shows, news broadcasts, social and cultural programs, and covered special events. He is also a prolific book author, having published several essays and stories.

In July 2025, he announced his retirement from KBS and his intention to continue writing books in his free time.
