Shin Ryu Jin is a South Korean singer, dancer, and member of ITZY (있지). She graduated from Hanlim Arts High School. Before debuting, she was scouted at a GOT7 concert and accepted the offer, spending 4 years as a trainee.

She participated in JTBC’s survival show "MIXNINE", ending in 1st place among the girls and earning a spot in the final project group. However, due to contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the agencies from the selected trainees, the debut was ultimately cancelled. YG offered her a contract, but she declined and opted to stay at JYP.

She made her debut in February 2019 as the group's main rapper, lead dancer, sub-vocalist and center with their first single album, "It’z Different". The lead single, "Dalla Dalla", peaked at number two on the Circle Digital Chart, the Billboard K-pop Hot 100, and the US World Digital Songs chart. ITZY became the first K-pop girl group in history to achieve a "Rookie Grand Slam" by winning all the Rookie of the Year awards at the 5 major award shows of 2019. They are recognized for their "teen crush" concept and for exploring themes of independence and self-love in their music.

The group enjoys a large fanbase both domestically and internationally, often spending many months of the year on tour. They are managed by JYP Entertainment (JYP엔터테인먼트).
