He first appeared on TV in April 2017 as a contestant in Mnet's singing survival show "Produce 101 Season 2", under CUBE Entertainment. He was not able to reach the top 9, who ended up debuting as part of the resulting project group, and the show was also marred by voting manipulation controversy.
However, his charisma attracted the attention of several producers, and he was invited to join several variety shows as a guest or a regular member. He then became interested in acting, and in August 2017, he made his debut in the Naver TV web drama "Devil Inspector".
He made his singing debut in April 2018 with the EP, "Spring, Seon Ho", but aside from an OST for the drama "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" in 2021, he has mainly focused on acting. He has also worked as a model for clothing brand TBJ and as an ambassador for the Korean Pediatric Diabetes Association.
In September 2024, his contract with CUBE ended, and he signed a few days later with Hiin Entertainment (흰엔터테인먼트).
In January 2026, it was revealed that he had been dating actress Shin Eun Soo.
