Kim Seon Young, known professionally as Seon Kim, is a South Korean English instructor and YouTuber. He graduated from Busan High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Film Studies from Loyola Marymount University and a master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Southern California.

He moved to the United States just before entering high school to avoid being drafted by the military. He was an intern at Walt Disney World and Warner Bros before working as an assistant director for Shin Sang Ok for 10 years. He returned to South Korea and continued working in production companies, but was never able to launch his own directing career.

He eventually became an English instructor at EBS and at various universities, and later, he became part of several shows dealing with historical events, as he is renowned for his love of history and his excellent storytelling skills.
