Kim Jong Chan is a South Korean singer and pastor. He graduated from Baejae High School and later obtained a bachelor's and master's degrees in Public Administration from Kyungwon University and two master's degrees in Theology from Chongshin University and from Baekseok University.

He made his debut in 1986 with his first album, "Dream Rain". His songs were not very popular at the time, but when Kim Hyun Chul remade the single "Rain" in 2022, his songs gained more appreciation. He currently serves as the senior pastor of Word and Praise Church and decided to make a comeback in 2025 with a new single.
