He joined the Manchester United Academy at the age of 7 and won the 2010–11 FA Youth Cup before even signing his first professional contract. In November 2012, he was sent on loan to Leicester City, where he made his pro debut and later moved to Birmingham City for the 2013 season and Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2014 season.
He finally debuted for Manchester United in 2015 and spent the next 7 seasons with the club, scoring 35 goals in 232 appearances overall. In 2022-2023, he moved to Nottingham Forest, where he spent one season before making a shocking move to FC Seoul in the Korean League. He has won the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and FA Community Shield and is one of only three players to have scored in the latter three competitions.
