After graduating from Pibulwitthayalai School, he went on to study at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang's School of Architecture Art and Design for one year before transferring to Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Architecture in 1978. In 1982, he headed the band Chaliang (เฉลียง), which marked his first major break in the music industry.
From 1983 to 2011, Dee began working as a songwriter for GMM Grammy (จีเอ็มเอ็ม แกรมมี่), gradually rising to the role of deputy managing director of the music business division.
In 2008, Dee ran in the Senate of Thailand election, but he was ultimately unsuccessful. Later, in 2011, he resigned from his position at GMM Grammy to work independently. From June 2011 to August 2015, he served as an executive at Music Union (สหภาพดนตรี) before starting freelance work under Romchom (รอมชอม).
Dee is married and has one daughter.
