Guus Hiddink is a Dutch retired football player and coach.

As a player, he began his career at his hometown's amateur club, SC Varsseveld. He turned professional in 1967 after signing with De Graafschap. He spent 3 seasons with the youth club before being sent to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in 1970. He returned to De Graafschap in 1972 and earned promotion to the Dutch first division. In 1977, he moved to NEC Nijmegen and was sent on-loan for two separate seasons to the United States. He returned to his debut club before retiring as a player in 1982.

He then transitioned into coaching, where he began his career as a head coach in 1987 with PSV. He has been successful at the club level, spending time as a coach with teams in the Netherlands, Türkiye, Spain, and England. He has been appointed as a coach of the Australian, Dutch, South Korean, Russian, Turkish, and Curaçao national teams and took 3 of them to the FIFA World Cup. He retired from coaching in 2022.
