Rayvadi Sriwilai was a Thai actress born to an English father and a Thai-Burmese mother in Bangkok, Thailand. After graduating from Saint Joseph School, she went on to study in the field of commerce in Penang for five years. On returning to Bangkok, she worked for the documentation department of the United Nations, later going on to work as a secretary translating correspondence at the company Hanuman Film (หนุมานภาพยนตร์). Originally named Chaloemsri Milligan, when Hanuman Film producers cast her as the lead in the 1954 film "Santi-Vina" (สันติ-วีณา), she was given the stage name Rayvadi Sriwilai.

Following her role in "Chao Nakleng" (จ้าวนักเลง) in 1959, Rayvadi retired from acting. She married a naval officer of the Vismitananda family and had two sons and one daughter: Thiti, Ratklao, and Khunakorn.
