Wang Zhi Li is a Chinese screenwriter from Beijing, China. His screenplays are based on real life experiences and the characters in his works are mostly derived from real-life prototypes, forming a distinctive Beijing-style of creative writing.

In 2018 Wang Zhi Li won the screenwriter award at the "2nd Screenwriter Carnival" (第2届编剧嘉年华) for the drama "The Story of Zheng Yang Gate 2" (正阳门下小女人). He was also nominated in the following year for "Best Original Screenplay" at the "25th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards" (第24届上海电视节白玉兰奖) for the same drama.

In the same year, he was nominated for "Best Original Screenplay" at the "24th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards" (第24届上海电视节白玉兰奖), and in 2020 at the 32nd Flying Apsaras Awards (第32届中国电视剧飞天奖) for the drama "The Love of Courtyard" (情满四合院).
