Kim Min Gyu, known mononymously as Mingyu, is a South Korean singer, dancer, model, and member of SEVENTEEN (세븐틴). He graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School and is enrolled in the K-Pop program at Dong-Ah Broadcasting Arts University.

He became a trainee under Pledis Entertainment (플레디스 엔터테인먼트) in 2012. He appeared frequently in "Seventeen TV", a reality series documenting the process of being a trainee and getting ready to debut as an idol.

He made his debut in May 2015 as the group's rapper, sub-vocalist, visual and face of the group with their first mini-album, "17 Carat". The group is managed by Pledis but is self-produced, as all members are involved in songwriting, production, composing and choreographing. They have gained a large fanbase both domestically and internationally due to their signature music and elaborate performances and choreographies.

He is part of the sub-unit HIP-HOP TEAM (세븐틴 힙합팀) alongside Vernon, Wonwoo and S.Coups. They have not officially debuted, but rather, they record tracks as unit songs for group albums and mixtapes.

He has also worked as a model for Calvin Klein and has been an ambassador for well-known French brands L'Occitane and Dior.
