He made his debut in September 2012 as 100%'s vocalist with their first single album, "We, 100%". The group had some commercial success thanks to the agency's strategy of pairing them with label mate group TEEN TOP.
In November 2013, he became part of the sub-unit 100% V (백퍼센트 V) and released their first self-titled single album.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on July 22, 2019, and was discharged on February 13, 2021.
In October 2021, TOP Media (티오피미디어) announced the group's disbandment following the expiration of their contracts.
He re-debuted in Japan in July 2022 as FAVE1's vocalist with their first singl,e "Zombie". The group is managed by Kiss Entertainment (キッス・エンタテインメント).
