Shin Jong Kook is a South Korean singer, dancer, and former member of SPEED (스피드) and HAN ROCK (한락). Before debuting, he was a contestant in "Superstar K3", reaching the finals.

MBK Entertainment (MBK엔터테인먼트, formerly known as Core Contents Media) debuted their idol group, COED SCHOOL, in September 2010. The agency later decided to create two separate groups, one for the boys and another for the girls. One member decided to quit in November 2011 to focus on his acting career. As a result, he was added one month later to replace him.

He made his debut in January 2013 as SPEED's main vocalist with their digital single "Speed of Light".

In November 2015, MBK announced the group's disbandment. Afterwards, he joined the rock band THE PIRATES as a guest vocalist and later became part of HAN ROCK and re-debuted in May 2020 with the digital single "Just Wanna Be Myself".

However, the band has not posted any new material since late 2020, and his personal social media accounts are set to private, so it is assumed they have disbanded or are on hiatus.
