He made his debut in January 2016 as the group's vocalist, rapper and maknae with their first single album, "Lollipop". In 2018, the group had their first performance in the United States and later released the digital single "Nanana", a song that was ranked in the Top 20 of best K-pop songs of the year.
In 2021, he started his own label, The Faker Club, alongside BIGSTAR's Raehwan, and later that year, he made his debut as a solo artist with the single "Drama", changing his stage name to Hello Gloom.
In early 2022, Star Empire (스타제국) announced the members will not be renewing their contracts. They later clarified that the group was not disbanding, just entering an indefinite hiatus.
His label was rebranded as Way Better (웨이베러) in 2023. He and Raehwan serve as co-CEOs and carry out their own entertainment activities and music production.
