He made his debut in July 2012 as the group's vocalist and rapper with their first single album, "Bigstart". In 2014, they became the first South Korean group to hold 100 concerts in Japan.
His contract with Brave Entertainment (브레이브엔터테인먼트) ended in July 2019, and he decided not to renew it. As all the members opted to do the same, BIGSTAR disbanded.
After leaving the group and the agency, he decided to end his singing career and is now a successful bodybuilder, model and personal trainer.
