He made his debut in January 2017 as the group's rapper and original maknae with their first mini album, "Time's Up". The group changed their name the following year to TST.
However, in May 2018, he was found guilty of sexual assault from an incident that occurred in 2014. KJ Music Entertainment (KJ 뮤직 엔터테인먼트; formerly known as JM Star Entertainment & JSL Company) and he strongly denied the charges and appealed the verdict until he ended up confessing. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, with a probation period of three years, along with 40 hours of treatment program for sexual offenders.
After several shows cancelled TST's presentations, he decided to leave the group the following month. TST ended up presumably disbanding in early 2020, but no official statement was ever made.
His appeal was denied in May 2019, so the original sentence remained. He is out of the entertainment industry.
