Shin Seong Hoon
- Name: Shin Seong Hoon
- Native name: 신성훈
- Also Known as: Sin Sung Hoon, Shin Seong Hun, Shin Sung Hoon, Sin Seong Hun
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: December 1, 1984
- Died: May, 2025
He made his debut in 2002 as a solo artist with the album "Blood", but he was not successful. The following year, he joined the boy group MAX (맥스), but they quickly disbanded after failing to gain any recognition. He also became part of a duo called FLY M, but without luck. He then moved to Japan, where he pursued a career as a trot singer, but returned to South Korea after a few years. He then became an actor, but after years of obscurity and only minor roles, he decided to return to a role behind the camera.
He made his directorial debut in 2022 with the independent short film "Thank You, Jjajangmyeon", winning Best Director and Best Picture at the 7th Hollywood Bluebird Film Festival and accumulating 81 awards overall, with some of the actors even working for free.
On October 26, 2025, it was revealed that he had passed away since May. A friend could not reach him on the phone and discovered his body when he entered his residence. The police reports indicated no signs of foul play or record of chronic illness, so they ruled it a suicide. In his final interview, he mentioned having to work extra jobs to make ends meet and being mentally and physically exhausted from all the pressure to succeed inside the entertainment industry. There has been no explanation as to why his death was reported 5 months later.
