Through his music, website, and radio show Kong Ling Qi has become a leading voice of street culture across china.
As one of the pioneers of modern Hip Hop in Asia and Taiwan, Kong Ling Qi shook the industry with his first album “01”. Produced by Johnny Chen, “01” was a blend of hip hop and R&B never before heard in the saturated “cookie cutter” pop market. Released in 2001, Kong Ling Qi earned The Golden Melody award for Best New Artist 2002 and the MTV New Artist of the Year Award 2001.
