Kim Hyun Ah
- Name: Kim Hyun Ah
- Native name: 김현아
- Also Known as: Kim Hyunah, Kim Hyeon A, Kim Hyeona
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: June 6, 1992
- Age: 33
She made her debut in February 2007 as WONDER GIRLS' main rapper, main dancer and vocalist with their first single album, "The Wonder Begins". The group quickly became one of the most popular girl groups in South Korea, but her parents were worried about her health, and she left the group in July of that year, just 4 months after debuting.
After recovering and switching agencies to CUBE Entertainment (큐브엔터테인먼트), she re-debuted in June 2009 as 4MINUTE's main dancer, main rapper, vocalist and face of the group with their first mini-album, "Hot Issue". Then, in January 2010, she also made her debut as a solo artist with the single "Change".
In December 2011, she joined then-fellow label mate Jang Hyun Seung (former member of BEAST, now known as HIGHLIGHT) and formed the duo TROUBLE MAKER, debuting with their first EP, also named "Trouble Maker". In October 2013, they made a controversial comeback with their EP, "Chemistry". The title song, "Now", earned a 19+ rating for its heavy references to alcohol, sex and cigarettes but managed to avoid being censored at SBS. The song earned the highest-ever score on the show "Inkigayo", maxing out at 11,000 points. The duo became inactive since mid-2014 and disbanded officially when HyunA left CUBE in 2018.
In June 2016, 4MINUTE disbanded after she was the only one who re-signed with the agency. As the other members left, she became a full-time solo artist.
In May 2017, she joined then-labelmates Dawn and Hui (both PENTAGON members at the time) and formed the project group TRIPLE H. The trio released their first mini-album, "199X", but after Dawn's and HyunA's departure from the label, they disbanded in early 2018.
In August 2018, she and Dawn announced they had been dating since May 2016. Two weeks later, CUBE Entertainment halted all her promotional activities and forced her on an indefinite hiatus. In November 2018, both were officially expelled from the agency.
In January 2019, she joined PSY‘s new label, P NATION, and remained with the agency until August 2022. Then, in November of that year, she ended her relationship with Dawn.
In November 2023, she signed with hip hop label AT AREA (앳에어리어), founded by producing duo GroovyRoom.
She married former HIGHLIGHT member (previously known as BEAST) Yong Jun Hyung in October 2024 after dating for around 9 months.
