In 2016, he participated in the "Show Star Idol Birth" audition event, and later, he stood out in the Korean boy group audition event of the music program "Global Chinese Music Chart". He was rumored as a potential member of the Korean idol group TST (일급비밀; originally known as TOP SECRET), but he decided not to pursue that career and focused on acting instead.
He made his acting debut in September 2017 with a role in the TVBS drama "Age of Rebellion". He has appeared in several movies and dramas ever since.
