He debuted with Energy on July 12, 2002. The group experienced changes in membership and disbanded in 2009. Following the disbandment, he transitioned into acting.
In 2019, Kunda was an active member of the Taiwan Shine Stars baseball team. He returned to music on December 19, 2020, after an 11-year hiatus, and rejoined Energy when they reunited under Believe Music on January 1, 2024.
In November 2005, he underwent emergency surgery due to a spontaneous pneumothorax, which resulted in chest pain and difficulty breathing, leading to an exemption from military service.
In December 2012 he was seen dating Ke Jia Yuan, his co-star in the drama "We Got Rich." The two confirmed their relationship and, in August 2017, he proposed to her. They announced their marriage on December 3, 2017, via social media.
