Kim Jung Woo is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, host, and member of NCT (엔시티) and 3 of its sub-units, NCT U (엔씨티 유), NCT 127 (엔씨티 127), and NCT DOJAEJUNG (NCT 도재정). He graduated from Gimpo Science and Technology High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree from an undisclosed university and a master's degree in Performing Arts from Myongji University. He is the younger brother of actress Kim Min A.

He became a trainee in 2014 after passing the SM's Saturday Open Auditions. SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) then decided to create a 25-member group that was divided into separate sub-units. They quickly became known as South Korea's "most experimental band" due to their concept of having members switch units freely.

He made his debut in March 2018 as NCT's vocalist and dancer for their first-ever full-length album, "Empathy", which included all 25 members. He was then included in several lineup combinations of NCT U.

In October of that year, he joined sub-unit NCT 127 as their new lead vocalist and lead dancer with their first studio album, "Regular-Irregular". The sub-unit debuted in July 2016, but after spending 3 years as a trainee, SM decided to add him to this sub-unit after having a successful debut 7 months earlier.

In August 2019, he went on hiatus due to health concerns after being absent from several group activities. He returned in January 2020.

He later debuted in April 2023 as part of the trio sub-unit NCT DOJAEJUNG with their EP, "Perfume".

He enlisted in the military band on December 8, 2025.
