Bang Hyun Sung, known professionally as Ryan Bang, is a South Korean TV personality, host, comedian, actor, singer and vlogger based in the Philippines. He enjoyed a quiet childhood in South Korea until he was 11, when his parents divorced. As an only child, his mother had issues raising him, so he went to the Philippines to study abroad at age 15, and eventually, he graduated from Reedley International School.

In 2010, he appeared on TV in the Philippines for the first time when he auditioned to enter the "Pinoy Big Brother" house along with 10 international housemates. He remained in the lower ranks during the early voting as he was not very popular or had any special skills, but during an episode, he recalled the difficulties of his parents having a divorce and that earned him some popularity among Filipino mothers and ended up earning 2nd place in the show.

After that, he started appearing as a guest judge in the comedy variety show "It's Showtime" until he was named a permanent member in 2012. He also began appearing in many other TV shows, and in 2011, he released his first single, "I Lilly Lilly Like It: Ryan Bang Party Party Hits!" and is now a household name in the Philippines.

In 2016, he appeared in the South Korean show "Screening Humanity", and his mother was severely criticized for her attitude towards her ex-husband and her son. He is now the main host of the Pinoy show "Dream Maker".
