He started training with KQ Entertainment and joined the rest of the trainees, called KQ FELLAZ, when all were in the United States. As he had been a trainee for only 2 months, the agency decided not to select him in the final lineup of what became known as ATEEZ. Instead, he was included in the second generation of KQ FELLAZ and everyone believed he would be chosen as the leader of the new idol group, XIKERS. However, in 2020, he abruptly left KQ and transferred to Play M Entertainment where he spent one more year before decided to quit the company.
He is now out of the entertainment industry and does stand-up comedy in Hongdae. He enlisted for his mandatory military service on August 26, 2025 and was discharged in early 2027.
