Kim Chae Yeon is a South Korean singer, dancer, model, actress, former member of CUTIEL (큐티엘; stylized as CutieL) and BUSTERS (버스터즈), and current member of tripleS (트리플에스). She graduated from Seo-il Cultural Arts High School and is enrolled in the Broadcasting and Entertainment program at Dongduk Women's University.

She made her debut in 2008 as a child actress with a role in the movie "Scandal Makers". At the same time, Big Star Entertainment decided to create a child group formed with several actors. She made her singing debut in 2014 when she joined CUTIEL. The group debuted in 2010 but underwent several lineup changes, and she was added as part of the 2nd generation, releasing the single "CutieL Christmas Carol". She left in 2017 when the agency modified the entire lineup once again.

In November 2017, she re-debuted as BUSTERS' lead rapper, vocalist, center and face of the group with their first single, "My Dream". However, in early 2019, the group faced several incidents in the following months and went on an indefinite hiatus. During that time, she decided to focus on other activities.

She re-debuted once again in February 2023 as part of tripleS with their first EP, "Assemble". In May 2023, she also debuted as part of the sub-unit's +(KR)ystal Eyes' first EP, "Aesthetic".

They are managed by ModHaus (모드하우스), who crafted tripleS to be a decentralized idol group where the members will rotate between the full group, sub-units, and solo activities as chosen by fans. As such, she is part of 5 different sub-units: +(KR)ystal Eyes, Acid Eyes, EVOLution, Aria and ∞! The agency has also assigned each member a number, and hers is S4.
