Djimon Hounsou is an American Beninois actor and former model born in Cotonou, Benin, West Africa. He was the 4th male African to receive an Oscar-nomination for acting (two times for Best Supporting Actor). He was also a Golden Globe Best Actor nominee and received three nominations from the Screen Actors Guild. He worked in his first C-drama "The Longest Day in Chang'an" in 2018.
