He made his debut in May 2018 (using the stage name Hwarang) as SPECTRUM's rapper and sub-vocalist with their first EP, "Be Born". The group was managed by Wynn Entertainment (WYNN 엔터테인먼트).
However, shortly after their debut, member Kim Dong Yoon passed away, which generated instability inside the group. Later, the lack of activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic ended with the group's disbandment in 2020.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on September 7, 2021, and was discharged on March 6, 2023.
In August 2023, he faced accusations of sexual crimes and was later indicted on charges of filming his partner without consent. So, he is now out of the entertainment industry.
