Ambrose Hui is a Hong Kong-born singer and actor who has been active in Taiwan. He immigrated to New York, USA, with his parents as a child. After completing university, Hui returned to Hong Kong and joined the China Star Actor Training Class to pursue his long-held aspiration of becoming a singer.

In October 2010, Hui was involved in an altercation at a nightclub, leading to accusations that he had instigated gang members to injure the other party. The case was investigated by the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office, and in 2011, the prosecutor decided not to indict him, clearing him of any charges.
