Evonne Hsu is a Taiwanese singer and actress born in Texas, USA. She studied psychology at the University of Houston but left during her sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment. Hsu was discovered by her former manager Han Lo Hsien while recording a demo for a friend. She released her debut album, "Happiness as the Main Theme," on January 3, 2002.

On October 6, 2013, Hsu married Dennis, who is not part of the entertainment industry, after three years of dating. Following her marriage, she stepped back from her music career and on October 6, 2015, she gave birth to a daughter.
