She made her debut in 2009 as part of the 9th open recruitment for video jockeys (VJs) at Mnet, where she gained fame for being a savvy interviewer in several of the network's shows. She then entered terrestrial broadcasting as a reporter for SBS's "Midnight TV Entertainment" in 2003. She also appeared in the intermission segments of the Korean-Japanese co-produced animation "Battle B-Daman", introducing and summarizing the characters and storyline.
She made her singing debut in 2009 (using the stage name Rani) with the trot single "I'm Angry". Starting in the 2010s, she shifted her focus to cable channels and later to YouTube and other social media platforms. She is represented by SM C&C (에스엠컬처앤콘텐츠).
